Introducing Advisories

We’re excited to announce a brand new feature on OpenCVE named Advisories 🎉

Until now, OpenCVE helped you track and analyze CVEs published by the MITRE. Starting today, you can also see which official security advisories are associated with each vulnerability.

OpenCVE Advisories

What are advisories

Advisories are security bulletins published by vendors, distributions, or platforms to provide details about vulnerabilities affecting their products.

They often include actionable information, such as fixed versions, mitigation steps, or patch availability.

Supported sources

At launch, OpenCVE supports advisories from the following sources:

  • EUVD (European Vulnerability Database)
  • GHSA (GitHub Security Advisories)
  • DSA (Debian Security Advisories)
  • DLA (Debian LTS Advisories)
  • USN (Ubuntu Security Notices)

More sources will be added in the coming weeks, and new ones will continue to be integrated regularly.

Why this matters

This new feature helps you:

  • Save time by automatically linking advisories to CVEs
  • Prioritize smarter by seeing which versions are vulnerable or already fixed
  • Access official information directly via clickable links to the original advisories

🚀 Try it now

You’ll find the new Advisories section on every CVE detail page on https://app.opencve.io/cve/.
